The Prince George's County Police Department have released new information that left a 23-year-old man dead in Hyattsville over the holiday weekend. University Park resident Angel Aguilar has been identified by authorities as the biker killed after he was found on a sidewalk following a crash on Saturday afternoon. The crash was reported shortly after 3 p.m. on Aug. 31. Officers from the Hyattsville Police Department were called to the 4300 block of East West Highway to investigate reports of a crash involving a motorcyclist and SUV, which landed the rider dead on the sidewalk. Four people were rushed to area hospitals - one of whom died - following a two-vehicle crash on Saturday morning in Prince George's County, police say. At approximately 9:45 a.m. on Aug. 31, the northbound lanes of Branch Avenue were closed between Beech Road and Auth Way in Temple Hills during a crash investigation. A woman was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Prince George's County overnight, police say. Shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, officers from the Bladensburg Police Department were called to the 4500 block of Bladensburg Road when a woman was struck by a driver that sped away. A teenager is among the two killed in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 495 on Saturday, July 13. Quintin Barnes, 37 of Reisterstown, MD, and a passenger 19-year-old Jasmine Jeffries, were riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle north on I-495 "when for reasons unknown, struck the rear of the Dodge," as police stated in the release. The Montgomery County Department of Police has identified the 42-year-old man killed by a hit-and-run driver who remains at large two weeks later. Takoma Park resident Candido Noe Rojas Rojas was fatally struck shortly after 1:15 a.m. on June 3 in the 1100 block of University Boulevard, investigators say. Upon arrival, officers found Rojas Rojas in the roadway suffering from head injuries. He was rushed to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Some northbound lanes of I-270 were blocked on Monday afternoon in Montgomery County while crews battled a truck fire.
