A man who shot his ex-girlfriend in Maryland, then was found dead in South Carolina, has been identified by police.
Fort Mill resident Dante Morris, 30, is the subject of a shooting investigation following an incident that played out during an altercation in Upper Marlboro, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.
Officers were called around 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, to investigate reports of a shooting in the 10400 block of Birdie Lane in Upper Marlboro, where they found the woman outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

A Virginia man tried to grab deputies’ tasers, ripped at a radio cord, and bit an officer during a traffic stop that quickly spiraled out of control, authorities said.
The stop happened in Stafford around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, after a deputy spotted a vehicle with expired tags near Ramoth Church Road and Dog Patch Lane.
What started as a routine stop didn’t stay that way for long.

A Virginia man is accused of opening a police car door and attacking officers during a chaotic early morning incident in Arlington, authorities said.
Quinton Berry, 26, of Alexandria, was arrested and charged with Assault on Police (x2), Obstruction of Justice (x2), Attempt to Disarm an Officer, and Vehicle Tampering, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
