Deported Woman Slips Back Into Maryland, Pleads Guilty After Brutal Knife Attack: Feds
A woman who was deported from the United States, slipped back into Maryland, and was later accused of a brutal knife attack has now pleaded guilty in federal court.
The case came to light in Frederick, where authorities say Vanessa Yalixa Munoz-Baque, 31, was living after illegally re-entering the country, and before she was arrested in a violent attempted murder case.
Federal prosecutors say Munoz-Baque had already been removed from the US in August 2023.

A Venezuelan national has been arrested in the killing of an 18-year-old Westchester, NY native and Loyola University Chicago student, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced Sunday, March 22.
A detainer has been lodged for Jose Medina-Medina, who is accused of gunning down Sheridan Gorman in Chicago, Illinois, last week, DHS said. Gorman was a Yorktown High School graduate and a freshman at Loyola University Chicago, local officials confirmed.
