One Dead When Helicopters Collide Mid-Air In NJ, Police Confirm One person was killed when two helicopters collided mid-air in South Jersey on Sunday, Dec. 28, in Hammonton, NJ, local police have confirmed. Footage going viral on social media shows a helicopter spinning down into a wooded area near Basin Road near White Horse Pike at approximately 11:25 a.m. Both of the helicopters crash-landed, and one erupted in flames, Hammonton police said.
