Tragedy struck a Maryland family the day after Christmas when a 37-year-old woman was killed getting out of a car in a Giant parking lot in Montgomery County.
Burtonsville resident Michelle Gogan, 37, was getting out of the passenger side of her parked car at the food store on Old Columbia Pike when she was hit by a 2023 silver Mazda CX5 around 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, Dec. 26, according to Montgomery County Police.

Police have identified a 37-year-old pedestrian struck and killed earlier this week.
Lashaviao Spriggs of Landover.was killed in the crash, Prince George's County Police said on Friday, May 17.
The hit-and-run sedan was located on Thursday, May 16, but no charges had been filed as of press time.
