DC Carjacker In Custody After Stealing $2.5K In Merch, Crashing Into VA Gas Station: Police
A 20-year-old Washington DC man arrested for kidnapping last week was in custody after carjacking a juvenile and then crashing the car in Virginia, police said.
At 4:32 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, an officer got a call from loss prevention about a suspect, Mecca Lee-Bey, who was seen stealing more than $2,500 worth of merchandise, Fairfax County police said.
Upon approach, Lee-Bey fled the business and entered a nearby parking lot. Detectives from the Tysons Urban Team were asked for assistance. Lee-Bey attempted to open the door of a 2013 Kia Optima entering the garage.

Members of the Metropolitan Police Department have arrested two men who were wanted for committing violent crimes in DC over the weekend.
At around 1:20 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, officers from the department were called to the 3000 block of 30th Street SE, where there was a reported kidnapping involving a man who was robbed at knifepoint, assaulted, and held against his will in an area apartment.

Four Delaware men are accused in a crime spree that stretched into Pennsylvania and allegedly included car theft, kidnapping, gunpoint robbery, and rape.
