Two were busted in Maryland with thousands of dollars worth of packaged fentanyl in St. Mary’s County, the sheriff’s office announced. A Baltimore fentanyl dealer who had enough to kill 20,000 people was sentenced to federal prison, authorities said. Donronald Dosey, 33, was sentenced by US District Judge Catherine C. Blake to six years in federal prison, followed by four years of supervised release, for possession with intent to distribute more than 40 grams of fentanyl. A Mexican citizen who had been previously deported from the United States was convicted in Maryland for trafficking drugs after being pulled over in a routine traffic stop, officials say. Alexander Juarez-Sanchez, also known as Jose Manuel Flores, 37, was convicted on multiple charges including intent to distribute fentanyl and heroin and illegal re-entry of the United States, Tuesday, May 31, according to the Department of Justice. A Lorton man was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison for causing a woman to die from a drug overdose, the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia said. Julian Velasquez, 36, distributed counterfeit Xanax containing fentanyl to the woman, labelled as a 29-year-old E.M., who accidentally overdosed in August 2020, the office reports. At least two people are dead and another is hospitalized after alleged opioid fentanyl overdoses at a DC jail, multiple sources report. Ramone O'Neal, 28, and Sean Lee, 37, were said to be in the same cell when they reportedly overdosed at D.C. Jail on Sunday, May 15, according to WTOP and NBC Washington.
