Tweens Charged With Beating 64-Year-Old Man To Death In Northwest DC: Metropolitan Police
A group of young girls have been charged with murder after allegedly beating a 64-year-old man to death in Northwest DC last Fall, the Metropolitan Police Department announced on Friday. Members of the department were called to the 6200 block of Georgia Avenue NW shortly before 1 a.m. on Oct. 17 last year, where there was reports of a man down after being accosted in the area. Upon arrival, officers found Northwest DC resident Reggie Brown suffering from what was described by police as "trauma consistent with an assault." Traffic was tied up on I-295 in Northeast DC as crews responded to a fatal crash and car fire on Friday morning. DC Fire and EMS personnel were called to a stretch of the interstate near Benning Road NE shortly before 7 a.m. on March 29, where there was a reported multi-vehicle crash with one on that went up in flames.
