Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

1 Killed After House Fire Breaks Out In Seaford One person died in an overnight house fire on Long Island. The blaze broke out at around 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, in Seaford. First responders observed the second floor of the home on Crescent Cove Drive engulfed in flames.  The Seaford Fire Department extinguished the flames, but the residence sustained extensive damage.  An 85-year-old man was removed from the residence and transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after midnight on Tuesday, Oct. 8, by a hospital physician. The incident happened in Orange County late Monday morning, Oct. 7 on eastbound I-84 between Exit 28 (NY 28 - Maybrook/Montgomery) and Exit 32 (Stewart International Airport/NY 747), causing the closure of both lanes. A Long Island woman has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating her.  Betty Falk, age 66, was last seen leaving her Hewlett home in her 2023 black Mercedes-Benz around 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7. She is described as being vulnerable. Police say she's 5-foot-4, 110 pounds with long black hair. Her destination is unknown. Police Respond To Threat At Danbury Fair Mall Police responded to a threat involving a popular mall in Connecticut. It happened late Sunday afternoon, Oct. 6 in Fairfield County at the Danbury Fair Mall. Danbury Police say officers responded to a report of a possible incident at the mall at around 4:30 p.m.  The officers quickly determined that the threat was not credible and there was no danger to the public, according to police.  "This incident remains under investigation as a swatting call," according to Danbury Police. The mall reopened for business as usual.

Suspects Enter Occupied North Woodmere Home, Steal Keys, Then Cars In Driveway: Police Police are searching for a group of suspects who stole two cars from the driveway of a Long Island home after burglarizing the occupied residence. Three of the suspects entered the North Woodmere residence located on Jay Court through a rear door. just before 4 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, according to Nassau County Police.
