Crash Outside National Zoo Sends 7 To Hospital, 3 Critical, Officials Say (Developing)
A violent crash in Washington, DC sent several people to the hospital, some in worse shape than others, authorities say.
The crash reportedly occurred the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 21, in the 3000 block of Connecticut Avenue NW, outside of the National Zoo, according to a DC Fire and EMS spokesperson.
At least three people were pinned in the multi-vehicle crash, police say.

A Baltimore-based food company is recalling hundreds of products because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Fresh Ideation Food Group LLC says the products were sold from Tuesday, Jan. 24 through Monday, Jan. 30 in nine states, including Connecticut, Washington DC, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia.

A Virginia man who was found naked and covered in blood after dragging his victim’s dead body out of his own Washington, DC apartment in 2019 has admitted to his crime, authorities said.
Collin Potter, 30, of Quantico, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder while armed for the butchering of Vongell Lugo on Jan. 6, 2019, in which Potter stabbed his victim 42 times, federal officials said.
