Following a "systematic search" of a Central Pennsylvania school — with help from Pennsylvania and Maryland State Police — administrators have announced a full closure until Tuesday, Feb. 20, according to a press conference on the evening of Feb. 15. The Anne Arundel Police Department is mourning the loss of one of their own. Veteran police Sgt. Eric Trumbauer died after suffering a medical emergency while off-duty overnight, according to the agency on Thursday afternoon. A pedestrian is dead after being pinned to a building by a vehicle in Baltimore. Officers were called to the intersection of Franklin and Cathedral Street around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been hit. When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian pinned in between the striking vehicle and a building near the intersection. A shooting rampage left seven people dead including the gunman at a Chesapeake, VA Walmart Tuesday, Nov. 22 — just two days before Thanksgiving, authorities said. Police used tactical force to enter the Battlefield Boulevard Walmart at Sam's Circle on reports of an "active shooter" at 10:12 p.m., and found multiple bodies, a Chesapeake police spokesman told reporters. A Maryland community is mourning the loss of one of their own after the passing of a City of Laurel Police Department employee, officials say. Communications Specialist Clifton F. Police are asking for the public's help locating a Gaithersburg teen who has been missing for several days, authorities say. Zion Allen, 14, was last seen Sunday, Aug. 14 around 9 p.m. in the 10000 block of Polk Square Court. Allen has dark brown hair that he wears in locs and brown eyes.
