Garbage Truck Driver Killed By Driver While Taking Out Trash In Maryland: State Police
A garbage truck driver was killed after being struck by another man while on the job in Northern Maryland, state police say. Jose Gomes, 55, of Hagerstown, died at Frederick Health Hospital after he was struck by Oxon Hill resident Osman Perez Mollo's Subaru while he was picking up garbage cans on Green Valley Road in Clarksburg early on Wednesday morning. According to police, shortly after 5:30 a.m., the garbage truck was stopped in the northbound lanes on Green Valley Road when Gomes got out to retrieve garbage cans and was struck by the Subaru, which rammed into the back of the truck.
