Some elected officials are coming after a Maryland school district that is taking precautions after several Kindergarteners tested positive for COVID-19 in Montgomery County. Investigators have apprehended a man who allegedly shot a woman earlier this month in Baltimore. At approximately 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20, a 26-year-old woman reported to police that she had been struck in the head with a baseball bat in the 4800 block of Beaufort Avenue, according to a Baltimore Police Department spokesperson. Teen Dies After Stabbing At McDonald's In Maryland, Police Say
A minor died at a Maryland hospital after being stabbed at a Harford County McDonald's, authorities confirmed. Officers from the Havre de Grace Police Department were called on Monday afternoon to the fast food joint on Pulaski Highway, where there were multiple calls for a stabbing involving two juveniles. 1 Dead In Chesapeake Bay Boat Crash
One person died and another was injured when two boats collided on the Chesapeake Bay Saturday night, Aug. 19, fire officials said. Multiple agencies including the Calvert County Sheriff responded to the scene after the 9:40 p.m. crash 2.25 miles off Breezy Point, the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department said. The Maryland Department of Health has confirmed a positive case of locally acquired malaria in a resident who lives in the National Capital Region. On Friday, Aug. 18, officials confirmed that a person has been hospitalized and is in recovery - while stressing that they did not recently travel outside of the US or other states where malaria is more prevalent.
