A 22-year-old Maryland man is facing a lifetime in prison after being convicted at a two-week trial of sexually assaulting his victim on a cruise. Abingdon resident Jalen Thomas Kelley was indicted last years on charges for an incident on New Year's Day on a Carnival Legend cruise ship that was set to depart out of Baltimore, officials say. Maryland State Police took to the skies to save a man at sea after a crew member suffered a medical emergency on a cruise ship sailing the Chesapeake Bay. The aviation crew from the state police Easton Section responded to the Chesapeake Bay off the shores of Kent Island over the weekend after receiving a call from the Coast Guard advising that there was a serious medical event taking place on the boat. Pennsylvania Woman Killed In Shark Attack While Vacationing In Bahamas
A Pennsylvania resident was killed in a shark attack while vacationing in The Bahamas, authorities said. The 58-year-old woman was snorkeling with her family when a bull shark bit her in the waters near Green Cay just before 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings said during a press conference.
