A member of the Bowie Police Department has been placed on administrative leave after discharging a weapon that struck a vehicle, officials say. At approximately 8 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, an officer pulled over to assist with what was believed to be a stranded motorist in the northbound Collington Road near US-50. Man Found Shot To Death During Welfare Check At Prince George's County Parking Lot: Police
Police in Prince George's County have identified the 38-year-old man who was found dead during a welfare check over the weekend. Officers were called at around 10:10 p.m. on Sunday night to a parking lot in the 7700 block of Finns Lane in Lanham to conduct the welfare check, where they found New Carrollton resident Kamil Ahmed suffering from traumatic injuries after being shot.
