Philadelphia Police Officer Shane Seiber, Father Of 2, Killed; Second Officer Shot 12 Times
A Philadelphia police officer and father of two young children was killed when a gunman ambushed officers responding to a report of a man with a gun on a porch in West Philadelphia early Saturday, Oct. 10, authorities said.
Shane Seiber, 40, a 10-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department, died at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center after being shot three times, Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel said.
Seiber's wife and other family members were able to be by his side before he died, according to Bethel.
He leaves behind a 7-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter.
