Massachusetts Father Dies While Hiking Mount Washington On Father's Day An Andover man who was hiking a trail in the White Mountains on Father's Day has died from his injuries sustained from suffering severe hypothermia.  Xi Chen, age 53, was attempting a Presidential Traverse off Gulfside Trail near Mt. Clay when he was "overcome with severe weather conditions," New Hampshire Fish & Game said on Facebook. Chen's wife, Lian Liu, alerted crews her husband needed help around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 19. FBI Issues Nationwide Alert For Missing UMass Student A nationwide alert has been issued by the FBI for a college student from New England who mysteriously disappeared nearly two decades ago. Maura Murray was a 21-year-old UMass Amherst nursing student in 2004 when she went missing minutes after crashing her car off Route 112 in Haverhill, New Hampshire.
