Misplaced Fire Extinguisher Helps Police Foil Burglary In Southborough Two alleged burglars had their plans foiled thanks to a misplaced fire extinguisher tipped off investigators that something was amiss in Worcester County.  Southborough police were called to Dell/EMC Warehouse at 21 Colin Drive just before midnight Sunday, July 30. When officers arrived, they saw a fire extinguisher propping open a door, and they went in to investigate.  That's when officers found two people trying to carry out a large piece of furniture that they were trying to steal, police said. Road Rage: Man Pulled Gun During Southborough Traffic Dispute, Police Say A traffic dispute turned ugly in Worcester County when police said a man pulled a gun and pointed it at his rival on Friday, May 5, authorities said.  Ronald Wing of Marlborough was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon following the alleged incident in Southborough, police said.  Investigators said Wing pulled out a Sig Sauer .177 Air Pistol and pointed it at a man after they got into an argument on Route 9 around 8 p.m. The driver called Southborough police immediately, and officers tracked down Wing later, authorities said.

House Fire Causes Road Closure In Westborough: Fire Department A Westborough homeowner can thank their fire alarm for helping them escape a two-alarm blaze on Friday morning, Feb. 24.  The blaze broke out just before 6:30 a.m. at 65 Adams St. near the intersection with Orchard Hill Drive, authorities said.
