Grinding Noise Leads To Catalytic Converter Theft Arrest In Fairfield County Two men were busted for allegedly stealing catalytic converters after a witness heard grinding noises coming from a garage in Fairfield County. The two men were arrested around 2 a.m., Wednesday, March 23 in Norwalk. According to Norwalk Police, a witness doing overnight work at a business on Water Street heard grinding noise coming from a nearby parking lot.  The witness investigated the noise and spotted one man keeping watch while another man, underneath a vehicle, was using what the witness believed was, a reciprocating saw, said Sgt. Road Rage: Driver Charged For Assaulting Man With 2x4 In Fairfield County, Police Say Police officers were able to apprehend the driver of Audi who allegedly beat another man with a 2x4 following a road-rage incident in Fairfield County.  Deon Mitchell, age 36, was arrested after the incident began around 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, in Norwalk. Police officers were dispatched to the area of the Merritt 7 Train Station at 84 Glover Ave., on a report of a disturbance where a man was allegedly assaulting another man with a 2x4, said Norwalk PD Sgt. Sylvester Edward, aka "GUMZY," age 31, of Norwalk, was arrested on Thursday, April 1, by Norwalk Police after taking officers on a high-speed pursuit and just hours after bonding out of jail on drug charges, said Norwalk Police Sgt.
