Kid Hit By Car In Auburn While Going To School
A 9-year-old was hit by a car while going to school Tuesday morning, Nov. 28, in Auburn. The child was struck at the intersection of Oxford St. North and Inwood Drive, Auburn police said. The child suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Auburn police closed down the intersection as they investigated the incident. "This accident happened as kids were headed to school," Auburn police said in a Facebook post. "Thankfully this time the child will be physically okay… please let this be a reminder to pay extra attention while driving."

Do You Know The Man In The Cast? Auburn Police Say He's Behind Break-in
Police in Worcester County are asking for the public's help to identify a man they say is behind a business break-in. Auburn detectives say the man was filmed on security video near the scene of a break-in last week at a business near the Oxford town line. He appears to be wearing a blue cast on his left leg. The man drove away in a brown/tan/gold sedan. Auburn police ask anyone who has any information on the man's identity to contact detectives at 508-833-7777. NH Man Charged With Raping Missing Auburn Teenager: Police
A missing 15-year-old Auburn girl said she was raped by a 58-year-old New Hampshire man on Monday, May 15. Mark Goumas was tracked down on Tuesday and charged with aggravated statutory rape greater than a 10-year age difference and indecent assault and battery on a person over 14 years of age, Auburn police said. He was ordered held on a $10,400 bond, but a judge later reduced it to $1,000 bail, police said. The teenager told police that a man picked her up just before 9:30 a.m. and assaulted her. A Worcester police dog helped police track down an allegedly stolen pistol only a few minutes after a man called to report his gun missing in Auburn. The man called officers on Monday, April 24, after he picked up his car from being serviced when he noticed his firearm was missing, and he believed someone at the station had taken it, Auburn police said. A sex offender allegedly found in possession of child pornography - again - is facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison if he’s found guilty. On Wednesday, Dec. 30, Christopher Rondeau, 35, of School Street in Auburn, was indicted on one count of possession of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts said.
