A serious crash on a highway in Middlesex County caused three people to suffer serious injuries and resulted in temporary road closures and traffic backups as authorities conducted an investigation.  The incident happened on Wednesday morning, Oct. 4, around 9:50 a.m., when a 2022 Volkswagen Taos sport utility vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 495 near the Chelmsford rest area crossed the median into the northbound lanes and struck a 2006 BMW sedan, state police announced.  The driver of the BMW, a 75-year-old Ayer man, was seriously injured …

The crash on I-91 took place in East Windsor around 6 a.m., Friday, Sept. 30 near exit 45. Dunkin' Customer Dodges Bullet After Shots Fired Outside Boston-Area McDonald's Chelsea Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect after shots were fired outside a McDonald's, authorities said.  Police responded to a report of shots fired at the parking lot of the McDonald’s at 178 Revere Beach Parkway just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, Chelsea Police said.  Witnesses told police gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles in the lot before both sped away. The bullets travelled so far that a customer inside the Dunkin' Donuts down the road was nearly struck, police said. Two-Vehicle Crash In Region Leaves Man Seriously Injured, Police Say A driver was hospitalized with serious injuries following a head-on crash in Connecticut.  A 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 was westbound on East Canaan Road in Litchfield County in the town of North Canaan when it crossed the double yellow centerline and struck an eastbound 2012 Volkswagen Jetta at about 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, according to Connecticut State Police. The Mercedes then traveled across the eastbound lane and exited the roadway, striking a wooden telephone pole, police reported.  The telephone pole reportedly split and fell into the eastbound travel lane.…
