Wanted Man Who Cut Off Ankle Monitor Caught Within 15 Minutes After Western Mass Stabbing: Cops A 26-year-old man out on bail for a firearms charge didn't make it very far after he cut off his ankle monitoring bracelet earlier this week, authorities said. In fact, Springfield police caught him in under 15 minutes hiding in someone's garage less than a quarter mile away. Teen Shooting Arrest: 15-Year-Old Charged In Western Mass Attack Police in Hampden County have charged a 15-year-old boy with shooting an 18-year-old and putting him in the hospital with critical injuries on Monday, May 22.  Springfield police responded to a Shotspotter activation near the intersection of Acorn and Sycamore streets just before 3:30 p.m. Officers did not find a victim, but they noted three cars and two homes had bullet holes in them.  Soon after, an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound was dropped off at Mercy Medical Center, where he was later taken to Baystate Medical Center for trauma treatment, authorities said. Man Admits To 3 Springfield Slayings While Awaiting Federal Murder Trial: DA A Waterbury, Connecticut, man awaiting a federal trial on kidnapping and murder charges admitted to killing three people in Springfield beginning in 2006, authorities said.  Calvin Robertson, 41, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, April 18, to three counts of manslaughter, the Hampden County District Attorney announced.
