The Massachusetts Senate has voted to override Governor Charlie Baker's veto on a bill that would allow undocumented immigrants to obtain driver's licenses, sources say. The bill, known as the Work and Family Mobility Act, was passed by a 32-8 vote on Thursday, June 9; a day after it passed through the House. New Sick Leave Benefits Now Available To Massachusetts Residents
Massachusetts has entered a new step of the state’s paid family and medical leave program, which will now allow area residents up to three months of paid time off to care for a loved one. Beginning this week, Massachusetts employees can apply to take up to 12 weeks of paid leave to care for a family member that may be suffering from a serious health condition.
