Mass Ex-FedEx Driver Who Sold Guns He Stole From Truck Gets 6 Days In Prison: Feds A former FedEx driver who sold guns he stole from his truck will not return to prison despite his guilty plea, authorities announced.  Frank P. O’Toole, 40, of Middleborough, was sentenced to time served on Friday, Feb. 2, after he admitted to two counts of possession or sale of a stolen firearm, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. The government had requested the judge impose a 10-month sentence.  O'Toole took three packages during his time as a Fed-Ex driver from Oct. 2021 until June 2022 that contained two rifles and a shotgun, the prosecutor said. The incident took place in Hartford County around a5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23 on Lydall Street in Manchester. Manchester police responded to a home on Lydall Street for a report of package theft, said Lt. Ryan Shea, of the Manchester Police. The crash happened in the Hartford County town of South Windsor at the intersection of Sullivan Avenue and Rye Street at about 3:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, the South Windsor Police Department reported. FedEx Employees In Region Accused Of Stealing 20 Smartphones Two FedEx employees have been charged with allegedly stealing 20 smartphones from a shipping box on a conveyor belt. Simon M. Muriithi, age 18, of South Windsor, and Tyshawn Thomas, age 19, of East Hartford, both employees at the FedEx distribution center in South Windsor were arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 19. According to Sergeant Mark Cleverdon, of the South Winsor Police, the two were observed by FedEx security stealing smartphones from a shipping box on their conveyor belt.  In total, 20 phones were taken, totaling approximately $8,000, police said. Massachusetts Man Tried To Flee In FedEx Truck After Crash, Police Say A Massachusetts man was apprehended on Long Island for allegedly crashing into multiple vehicles and attempting to flee the scene in an occupied FedEx truck. The Nassau County Police Department said Raymond Sojo, age 35, of Worcester, was arrested in Garden City at 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25.  Officers responded to the four-vehicle crash on Old Country Road and Clinton Road.
