Guns, Stacks Of Cash, Heroin: Police Bust Suspected Trafficker Following Western Mass Raid Police and federal agents raided a home in Holyoke earlier this week to bust a man suspected of trafficking heroin and found a stockpile of drugs, cash, and an unlicensed gun, authorities said.  Angel Carrasquillo, 32, faces several charges following the Wednesday, Feb. 15, search of his home, including heroin trafficking — 200 grams or more, unlicensed possession of a firearm, having an assault rifle without a license, and other drug offenses, Holyoke police said in a Facebook post.  Officers said they found a Glock 43 with an extended magazine, a cache of drugs, and wads of cash…

Woman Trapped In Car Hospitalized After Crash In Western Mass A woman was seriously injured during a crash in Western Massachusetts. It happened around 11 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13, in Hampden County, at the intersection of Dwight and Linden streets in Holyoke. According to the Holyoke Fire Department, the car the woman was driving struck several parked cars, causing the woman to become entrapped in the vehicle. Firefighters used hydraulic tools to free her from the car. The woman was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The extent of her injuries is currently unknown. No one else was injured.

Western Mass Man Accused Of 'Viciously' Stabbing Man In Unprovoked Attack A Western Massachusetts man was arrested for allegedly repeatedly viciously stabbing another man in an alleged unprovoked attack.  The incident took place around 4:30 p.m., Friday, July 2, when the Holyoke Police Department responded to the area of Ivy Avenue and Dwight Street for the report of a stabbing. As officers arrived on the scene Holyoke Dispatch reported the suspect, later identified as Alfredo Rivera of Holyoke, had fled from the area, said Capt. Matt Moriarty.
