Troopers Risk Lives To Save Man From Drowning In Burning Car In Fatal Eastern Mass Crash: Cops
Despite the best efforts of state troopers, a 23-year-old man died early Tuesday morning, Oct. 10, when his car crashed into a median on I-495 in Norfolk County, authorities said.
Sage A. Woodward, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, crashed his BMW on the highway near mile marker 35.2 in Plainville around 3:45 a.m., Massachusetts State Troopers said. The car landed in water, but the vehicle burst into flames, which started a small brush fire.

Police carried out 19 raids across the state Thursday morning, April 13, and hauled in an amount of drugs and cash that would have made Pablo Escobar proud, authorities said. That's probably why officers found a painting of the former drug kingpin in one of the searches, authorities said.

Massachusetts Man Killed In New Hampshire Motorcycle Accident
A man from Northern Massachusetts has died from a weekend motorcycle crash in New Hampshire, authorities said.
David Penney, age 58, of Tewksbury, was killed in a crash that occurred at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Woodland Road in North Hampton on Saturday afternoon, June 25, New Hampshire State Police said.
Investigation revealed Penney was entering the intersection on his Harley Davidson when he was struck by Jennifer McCoy, age 38, of Boston, who was driving a black BMW. Penney was later pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to police.

Two Women Killed In Wrong-Way, Head-On Crash In Region
Two drivers were killed in a wrong-way, head-on crash in Connecticut.
It happened at about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, on I-91 in New Haven County.
A 2020 Toyota Camry XLE was going the wrong way, traveling south in the northbound lanes of the highway between Exit 17 and Exit 18 in Meriden, when it collided with a northbound 2012 BMW X5 Xdrive35i, according to Connecticut State Police.
