Update: ID Released For 23-Year-Old Hit, Killed By Amtrak Train In Region Police have released the identity of a man who was hit and killed by an Amtrak train in Connecticut. Hartford County resident Amani Abele Ashley, age 23, of Bristol, was killed around 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 30 while walking along the train tracks near the intersection of Surrey Lane in Berlin. Person Struck By Train In Western Mass A person was struck by an Amtrak train while trespassing on the racks in Hampden County. The incident took place around 10:22 p.m., Wednesday, March 31 when an individual was trespassing in Holyoke and came into contact with Amtrak Valley Flyer Train 494 traveling between New Haven and Greenfield, said Jason Abrams, a spokesperson for Amtrak.
