29-Year-Old Man From Central Mass Killed In Weekend Pedestrian Crash: DA A 29-year-old man from Athol has died after he was hit by a car in Central Massachusetts this past weekend, according to officials.  The man was struck by a vehicle traveling on Route 202 near 150 Daniel Shays Highway just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office reports. The driver, a 20-year-old Athol resident, and passenger got out of the car to help the victim. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries, the DA's Office said. The crash is under investigation.

29-Year-Old Hartford Man Injured In Shooting, Police Report Authorities are investigating after a 29-year-old man was injured in a shooting in Connecticut.  Officers responded to the area of 679 Blue Hills Ave. in Hartford on a Shot Spotter activation at about 9:40 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2, according to the Hartford Police Department. Police said officers found a Hartford man suffering from a gunshot wound.  The man was conscious and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
