Mattapan Woman Slashed Teen's Face In Unprovoked Attack At South Boston MBTA Station: DA A 35-year-old woman accused of slashing a 13-year-old boy's face open with a jagged soda can is being held on a $15,000 bail, authorities announced on Monday, March 13.  Monica Velez-Caraballo, of Mattapan, is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury and disorderly conduct on a public conveyance in the unprovoked attack on Thursday, March 9, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said on Monday.
