Water Main Rupture Floods Streets Near Tufts Medical Center A water main ruptured in Boston's Chinatown early Friday morning, Sept. 16, sending torrents of water down several streets and causing morning traffic delays.  The break happened near the intersection of Washington and Kneeland streets near Tufts Medical Center just before 6 a.m., authorities said. Lagrange Street also flooded.  Washington St, Kneeland St, Stuart St, LaGrange St and Beach St are all turning into rivers. Smoking Train At Shawmut Station Causes Morning Delay On Red Line Days before a historic 30-day shut down of the Orange Line, MBTA passengers encountered a major delay on the Red Line at Shawmut Station. One passenger said riders were forced off the train after it started smoking. The MBTA tweeted about the delay around 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17.
