Santa To Bring Milder Conditions For Christmas In Boston

Massachusetts residents will see mostly clear, sunny skies at the start of the holiday weekend, coming off of a frigid Friday night, Dec. 22, of just 24 degrees. 

Saturday will be a mix of sunny and cloudy skies, with temps going into the 40s, according to the National Weather Service. Perfect weather for those last-minute shopping trips. 

Weather on Christmas Eve will reach as high as 45 degrees, with a low of around 37 that night.

Santa and his reindeer can expect a mild Christmas Day as the mercury will climb into the 50s. Temperatures will dip into the mid-30s that night. 

Central and Western Mass will see a combination of sunny and cloudy skies on Friday and Saturday, with calm winds and temps reaching the low 40s.

Christmas Eve will feature a 20 percent chance of rain that night in the Springfield area, the NWS predicts.

Santa can expect cool and dry conditions in Worcester, with temps going into the low 30s.

Christmas Day will be mostly cloudy, but the sun will make an appearance in Central Mass. Temperatures will reach well into the high 40s.
