Norfolk Police and Fire responded to the crash at Daley Service Center, located at 2 Rockwood Road, around 1:47 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, both departments report.

Upon arrival, first responders found the truck dangling over a wall. Initial investigation determined that the box truck hit a traffic island before driving into Daley's Service Center, authorities said.

The truck then hit a gas pump and two other cars before getting lifted off the ground and crashing through the fence. The impact caused the front two tires of the truck to hang over the wall.

The driver was taken to the hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, authorities added. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
