Soccer Fans Shut Down Route 1 In Revere For Morocco's Historic World Cup Win The matches may have been in Qatar, but the World Cup came to Massachusetts when elated fans celebrated in the streets of Revere, blocking Route 1A in the melee.  Morocco made history by being the quarterfinals for the first time and becoming the first Arab nation to reach that stage of the tournament when they defeated Spain in a historic win on Tues.
