Student Had Loaded Gun In Lowell School, Threatened To 'Shoot Up The Block': DA A 16-year-old student brought a loaded revolver to a Lowell charter school on Tuesday, Sept. 12, and attacked a police officer who tried to take it from him, authorities said.  A student at Lowell Middlesex Academy Charter School told faculty that multiple students might have brought weapons to school, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said. The informant said they planned to "shoot up the block."
