A 21-year-old mother of two who was killed in Lawrence on Christmas Day will be remembered in a candlelight vigil on Thursday, Jan. 4. Diomaris Mejia was found dead at her Lawrence apartment on Salem Street after family members asked officers to perform a welfare check around 7:45 a.m. on Dec. 26. To say the Atlantic has been active regarding the weather would be an understatement. In the last 24 hours, three new tropical storms have been named, and experts say the next month is expected to be a busy one as the hurricane season hits its peak. A 39-year-old Boston man has admitted to a laundry list of disturbing allegations featuring children as young as 9 and 14 years old, federal authorities said. Two people were arrested on gun charges relating to the house party turned shooting that resulted in an 18-year-old's death, officials say. A former Lynn man who was wanted for more than ten years on child pornography and child rape charges was arrested this week in the Dominican Republic, authorities announced. Melchor Datu, 51, a Filipino native, fled the country after he was indicted on child porn charges in December 2012, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. Netflix Is About To Start Charging You To Share Your Password
Sharing your Netflix password will soon come with a price. Starting in early 2023, Netflix will allow only one "home account" and charge for every "sub account" added to that account — up to five, the company announced. The new payment plan was rolled out as an experiment in Argentina, Dominican Republic, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala, where customers paid $2.99 to add a sub account.
