Zachary's Restaurant, a breakfast and lunch spot located at 1778 Washington Street in Stoughton, informed its patrons that the restaurant had closed via Facebook on Saturday, June 24.

"It is with much regret that Zachary’s has come to an end," the post read. "I am heartbroken."

The eatery was known for its breakfast platters and indulgent French toast and pancake dishes, all with reasonable prices and hefty portions.

"Our whole family is heartbroken over this," wrote one commenter. "You were the first true place we found after we moved to Stoughton. Zachary’s was home. You will be truly, truly missed."

"You had the best pancakes hands down and the fish on Fridays was so fresh and delicious," another wrote. "The staff was always so nice and friendly."

The closure of the Washington Street location may not be the end for the team behind Zachary's.

When one commenter asked if Zachary's would reopen at another location, the restaurant's Facebook account replied "Trying. I will keep everyone posted."
