Two lucky lottery winners cashed their tickets for $100,000 on Monday, Feb. 5. The winning tickets were sold at Jim's Quick Stop at 502 Boston Road in Billerica and at Regina Food Mart at 203 Main Street in Everett. The winners were not named. Eric Robert Johnson Facing At Least 10 Year For Child Porn
A Billerica registered sex offender has pleaded guilty to possessing more than 5,000 of child sexual abuse material that featured children as young as infants being abused, federal authorities said. Eric Robert Johnson, 50, a lifetime Level 2 sex offender, admitted to one count of child porn possession Monday, Jan. 29, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. He faces a minimum of 10 years in prison when he's sentenced in May. A man who tried to break into a storage facility in Billerica has been arrested by K9 troopers after leading state police on a high-speed chase, while driving a U-Haul van and wearing an orange ski mask. Man Killed In Billerica Crash Along Route 129
A man was killed in a two-car crash in Billerica on Friday, Jan. 12, that sent another person to the hospital, authorities said. The crash happened at the intersection of Salem Road (Route 129) and Gray Street just after noon, Billerica police said. Police did not release the man's name. There was a driver and passenger in each car, two people were OK and didn't require medical treatment, while the other two were rushed to Lowell General Hospital, where the man died, Billerica police said.
