Everett Man Apprehended For Firing Gunshots In Cambridge: Police

An Everett man is facing charges in connection with a gunshots incident in the Riverside neighborhood of Cambridge last month, authorities said.

Curtis Preston was arrested in connection with the incident that happened in the area of Magee Street and Putnam Gardens in the overnight hours of Saturday, Aug. 27, Cambridge Police said. 

Officers located two shell casing on in the area and no injuries were reported, police added. Investigators were later able to identify Preston as the suspect behind the incident and arrested him on Tuesday, Sept. 20, police said. 

He will face several charges including discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, carrying a firearm without a license, and possession of a firearm during the intimidation of a witness.
