Here's Percentage Of Parents Who Fear Their Kids Are Becoming ‘Internet Zombies,' Survey Says A large majority of parents in America are concerned that their children’s time spent mindlessly scrolling through social media, playing games, and bingeing streaming services are turning them into “Internet zombies.” A new survey polling 2,000 parents of school-aged children found that 64 percent are concerned about the amount of screen time their kids spend on the Internet, while two-thirds believe that their overall behavior has been altered due to the amount of time spent online. Massive Internet Outage: Hundreds Of News, Streaming Services, Social Media Sites Go Down Large parts of the Internet went down early Tuesday morning, June 8, including hundreds of news sites, such as CNN and The New York Times, as well as streaming services and social media platforms. Many users who attempted to access affected sites received error messages such as, "Connection Failure," or “Error 503 - Service Unavailable." An American cloud computing services provider reported just before 7 a.m. that "the issue has been identified and a fix has been applied.”  The cause of the outage remains unclear. Google's First-Ever Retail Store Will Open Soon After conquering the Internet, Google is set to take over brick-and-mortar retail sales with its first-ever physical store, and it will be in New York. Google announced on Thursday, May 20 that it will be opening up the store in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood, where it will sell everything from Pixel phones to Nest products, Fitbit devices, and Pixelbooks. Customers will have the option of shopping online at the Google Store and picking up their orders in the store or physically shopping on location.
