Stick Attack: Springfield Man Charged With Beating Two In Vermont, Police Say Police in Vermont arrested a Springfield man earlier this week and charged him with beating two people with a stick inside a home in Barre.  Dahiem Dukes, 20, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of second-degree unlawful restraint, Vermont State Police said. He is being held without bail.  Troopers were called to a home in Royalston around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, to reports of a man attacking someone with a wooden stick, authorities said. Man Kidnapped Victim In Springfield, Fled State: Police A Hartford man is facing charges after he was caught in Connecticut following his kidnapping of an adult victim in Springfield, police said.  On Monday, Jan. 16 around 8 p.m., state police in Connecticut were told of an active kidnapping that had happened in Springfield and were alerted that the suspect's gold Chevy Malibu with a temporary license plate was traveling south on I-91 toward Hartford County.  State troopers then found the vehicle on I-91 southbound just before Exit 36 in Windsor and pulled it over. New Britain Duo Charged In Death Of 4-Year-Old Bristol Girl Two people have been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a 4-year-old girl in June. Hartford County residents Ashley Hernandez-DeJesus, age 28, and Rocky Hernandez-DeJesus, age 31, both of New Britain, were arrested on warrants on Tuesday, Dec. 27 by Bristol Police.  Information surrounding the case was sealed by authorities.
