Iconic CT Seafood Eatery Reveals Closing Date After Nearly 30 Years In Business An iconic seafood restaurant in Connecticut has officially announced its closing date after being in business for almost 30 years.  Chowder Pot of Hartford will be closing for good on Saturday, March 25, the restaurant said in a Facebook post on Monday, Feb. 13. This comes after the owners originally revealed that Chowder Pot would be closing on Tuesday, Jan. 3.  "It has been bittersweet since announcing our closing," the Chowder Pot wrote on Facebook. Impaired CT Woman Caught Driving Wrong Way In Construction Zone, Police Say A Connecticut woman was busted allegedly driving drunk or high on drugs in the wrong direction in a construction zone on Route 9. The incident took place in Farmington around 12:40 a.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 31. Connecticut State Police troopers in Hartford received multiple reports of a pedestrian operating the remote-controlled car on Route 9 in the New Britain/Berlin area at around 7 a.m. Saturday, July, 16.
