A popular and historic eatery in Massachusetts was named the best diner in the state in a new list from Food & Wine. Miss Worcester Diner, located at 300 Southbridge St. in Worcester, was named the best diner in Massachusetts in the publication's list of the best diners in every state, which was published on Friday, May 27. Food & Wine said the diner is on the National Register of Historic Places and has remained a popular spot throughout its many years in business. : Vanderbilt's Western Mass 'Cottage' Listed For $12.5M
A “cottage” with 46 bedrooms that was built by American royalty, the Vanderbilts, has been listed for $12.5 million in Western Massachusetts. The Gilded Age mansion known as Elm Court was constructed in 1886 and sits on 86 acres straddling Stockbridge and Lenox in the Berkshires. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. Plans were scrapped in late-October to spend $50 million to turn the mansion into a resort. The property was then promptly put on the market, according to The Berkshire Eagle.
