Routine Traffic Stop Lands Springfield Man In Jail What started as a routine traffic stop over a minor infraction spiraled into multiple felony charges for one Springfield man on Tuesday, March 12.  Garrett Tyndal, 28, was pulled over around 9:45 p.m. near the intersection of Boston Road and Heath Street, Springfield police said. Intoxicated Driver Caused Near-Fatal Crash On Mass Pike In Central Mass: Police A 37-year-old Worcester County man faces multiple felony charges after police say he crashed his pickup truck into a box truck on the Massachusetts Turnpike Tuesday morning, Sept. 19, because he was high. Nathan Miranda, of Winchendon, was arrested and charged with OUI-Drugs, OUI-Drugs causing serious injury, possession of a Class B drug, and other motor vehicle offenses, Massachusetts State Police said.  The crash happened just before 9:15 a.m. near mile marker 82 in Charlton7 when Miranda's 2017 Dodge 1500 hit a box truck, police said.
