Griswold Crash Leaves Massachusetts Trucker Dead
A 42-year-old Middlesex County, Massachusetts, man died after crashing his truck down an embankment along I-395 in Connecticut. Tim Murray, of Ashby, crashed his Freightliner truck in Griswold, New London County between Exit 24 and 28 around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 Construction had closed the southbound right-hand lane of the highway. As Murray merged into the left lane, his 2019 Freightliner hit a guardrail. Murray corrected the truck but not before striking another section of the guardrail. The truck tumbled down an embankment. A 70-year-old tractor-trailer driver from Connecticut will spend time in prison for his role in a crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike that left a man dead. 59-Year-Old Killed In Two-Vehicle Worcester County Crash, State Police Say
An investigation is underway after a 59-year-old Massachusetts man was killed in a two-vehicle crash. Troopers received reports of a crash on Route 2 eastbound near Exit 95 in Fitchburg shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12, Massachusetts State Police reported. State Police said Fitchburg Fire and EMS also responded to the scene. Truck Left Partially Hanging Off Edge Of Bridge In Fatal Crash In Region
One person was killed and another injured during a single-vehicle crash in the region. It happened around 11:25 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 9, in Worcester County. A Freightliner truck northbound on I-495 in Milford veered out of its lane, struck the median guardrail, and rode up and over it, coming to rest approximately halfway off the bridge over Route 16, Massachusetts State Police said. A Massachusetts State Police cruiser has been involved in a crash with a tractor-trailer. The crash took place around 10 p.m., Friday, Aug. 6 when the cruiser was involved in the crash with a Freightliner tractor-trailer on the Massachusetts Turnpike westbound in Worcester County, in Southborough, said Dave Procopio of the MSP. CT Man Facing Charges After Fatal Mass Turnpike Crash
One person was killed in a crash involving a Freightliner tractor-trailer, a 2020 Toyota Camry, and a 2008 Toyota Sienna van in Western Massachusetts. At 3:22 p.m. Friday, April 23, troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Barracks in Lee responded to the crash on the eastbound side of the Massachusetts Turnpike in Becket.
