12 Arrested After Police Seize Illegal ATVs, Bikes In Springfield
Police in Western Massachusetts seized 14 off-highway vehicles and arrested 12 people during a special detail to remove illegal vehicles from the roadways. During the multi-day detail in Springfield, officers seized the vehicles which included nine dirt bikes, two unregistered motorcycles, and three ATVs, said Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police. Driver Critical After Attack By Dirt Bikers, ATV Driver In Springfield
A Western Massachusetts man is in critical condition after being assaulted by a large group of dirt bikers and ATV drivers following a small traffic mishap. The incident took place around 9:30 p.m., Monday, July 5, near the X intersection when the driver came in contact with one of the dirt bikes tires at a stoplight, said Springfield Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood at a press conference. Cop Making Fentanyl Bust Bitten By Suspect On Dirt Bike In Massachusetts, Police Say
A Massachusetts police officer was bitten several times while attempting to take down a suspect in a fentanyl trafficking case. The incident took place around 2:40 p.m., Thursday, April 8, when Worcester Police officers assigned to the Neighborhood Response Team spotted two dirt bikes being illegally operated on the public way of Beacon St., said the Worcester Police.
