Stopped: Ex-con Allegedly In Possession Of A Firearm Arrested

After making a traffic stop, Brandon Murray, 33, of Dwight Street Extension, was arrested Thursday at around 6:10 p.m. at an East Columbus Avenue gas station, police said.

Upon investigation, police allegedly found a loaded firearm in Murray’s pocket.

Murray is being charged with carrying a loaded firearm with a license, carrying a firearm without an FID card (subsequent offense), firearm violation with three prior violent/drug crimes, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense), police said.
