Police have identified the man who police say killed his wife and their child before turning the gun on himself last week.
Steven Johns, 52, is accused of killing his wife Kaydion Dawson, 45, and their 7-year-old daughter at their home and calling people before killing himself before officers arrived, the Middlesex District Attorney said Friday, May 3.
Officers were called to the Warren Street apartment on Sunday, April 27, just after 6:30 p.m. The caller said he had just killed his wife and child and had several guns in the home.

The cause of death has been released for a popular actor who was born and grew up in the region.
The death of Alec Musser, age 50, was announced last weekend on Instagram by his fiancée Paige Press, who lived with Musser in Del Mar, California, north of San Diego.
According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Officer, Musser died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

IDs Released For Man, Woman Found Dead At Wollaston Station In Quincy: DA
Authorities have identified the two people found dead at Wollaston Station in Quincy as Klyer Granada, age 20, of South Boston and Tanairy Rodriguez, age 20, of Lowell, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office.
A train operator reported seeing the pair on the northbound side of the tracks just north of Wollaston around 6 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, the an MBTA Transit Police spokesperson said.

The Connecticut mother who allegedly killed her three children before hanging herself was recently cited twice by the state for providing illegal daycare services.
The apparent triple murder-suicide in Fairfield County happened on Wednesday, July 27 in Danbury, on Whaley Street.

The first hearing has been held in a lawsuit filed by Gabby Petito’s family against the parents of her alleged killer and former fiancé Brian Laundrie.
The hearing happened on Wednesday, June 20 in Venice, Florida, will determine if the lawsuit filed by Petito's parents will continue to a jury trial.
