Crews Battle 3-Alarm Brush Fire In Gloucester (Update) Firefighters were on the scene in Gloucester where a 3-alarm brush fire broke out earlier Monday morning, Aug. 1, authorities said. The fire started in the area of Poles Hill and Riverview Road around 10:45 a.m., Gloucester Fire said. Crews struggled to contain the flames as the area was hard to access and the blaze spread because of dry and windy conditions.  Drone footage of brush fire on Pole Hill today, threatening the houses in the wheeler's point area.
