'Brutal Killing': Man Convicted In 2017 Lawrence YMCA Rooming House Slaying
A 67-year-old was convicted on Wednesday, March 15, of the beating death of another in a Lawrence YMCA rooming house in 2017. Martin Rodriguez was found guilty of first-degree murder following a weeklong trial for the killing of 53-year-old Jose Burgos, the Essex District Attorney's Office announced. Rodriguez was accused of beating Burgos to death with a baseball bat.
