Decorated Stoughton Police Officer Known For His 'Dedication' Suddenly Dies The Stoughton Police Department is mourning the sudden death of one of their brothers in blue, Chief Donna McNamara announced.  Christopher Davis, age 42, died while off-duty while at his Brockton home around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, McNamara said. Davis was a 17-year-old veteran with the department.  "Officer Davis's kindness, bravery, dedication and devotion to his family, friends, the men and women of the Stoughton Police Department and the Stoughton community will be greatly missed," McNamara said.
